About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a full‑time risk management position. This opportunity is open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, levels of experience, and areas of expertise. The remuneration package will be commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
Working closely with the Risk Manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks for our clients. You will collaborate with a team of risk and compliance analysts dedicated to understanding, identifying, measuring, and monitoring risks across a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the appointed Risk Manager in:
- Conducting risk assessments of entities licensed by the MFSA, interpreting results, and preparing action plans, including policies
- Identifying and monitoring significant changes, emerging risks, and trends, and updating risk profiles accordingly
- Reviewing clients’ business models, risk management processes, and operational arrangements
- Monitoring client trading activity and ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory risk limits
- Preparing internal and external reports covering risk statistics, exposures, controls, and regulatory data
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to high‑quality work. The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree/qualification or equivalent professional experience, ideally with a strong mathematical or IT background
- Knowledge of risk analysis, including measurement and control techniques
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services (funds, payments, crypto assets) - considered an asset
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with strong skills in Excel considered a significant advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in a similar role - considered an asset
