Position Overview
The Media & Communication Officer plays a vital role in enhancing NCH’s visibility and reputation through effective media relations, corporate communication, and brand storytelling. The role is responsible for developing and executing communication initiatives that strengthen NCH’s presence across digital, print, and event platforms while ensuring alignment with the company’s values, compliance standards, and strategic goals.
Working closely with Marketing, Sales, HR, and Brand teams, the Officer will plan and manage media campaigns, draft press materials, coordinate interviews, and oversee both internal and external communication activities. The role also supports public events, content creation, and digital engagement to ensure consistent messaging and a strong, authentic voice across all channels.
Roles and Responsibilities
Corporate & Media Communications
- Manage NCH’s corporate communication channels including the website, LinkedIn, and other social platforms to ensure clear, consistent, and compliant messaging.
- Develop and execute media and PR strategies that enhance brand visibility and credibility within the healthcare and wellness sectors.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, and executive messages that reflect NCH’s voice and purpose.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with journalists, editors, and key media stakeholders to secure positive coverage.
- Monitor media trends and coverage, providing regular reports and insights to management.
Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
- Produce engaging written and visual content for corporate materials, newsletters, blogs, speeches, and digital channels.
- Ensure all content aligns with NCH’s tone, brand identity, and compliance standards.
- Support thought leadership initiatives by developing interview briefs, feature articles, and leadership statements.
- Edit and proofread communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Internal Communications
- Plan and deliver internal communication campaigns that promote engagement, collaboration, and alignment with NCH’s Culture DNA.
- Develop and distribute monthly newsletters, internal announcements, and employee engagement materials in collaboration with HR.
- Support internal events and recognition programmes through creative communication tools and storytelling.
Events & External Engagement
- Organise and support corporate and public events that strengthen NCH’s relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community.
- Coordinate media coverage for events, ensuring professional pre- and post-event communication.
- Develop marketing and communication materials for consumer outreach and CSR initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies to ensure high-quality delivery of photography, videography, and promotional assets.
Partnerships & Co-Marketing
- Identify and manage brand collaboration opportunities with healthcare institutions, educational bodies, and community organisations.
- Plan and execute co-marketing initiatives that align with NCH’s growth strategy and brand positioning.
- Track and evaluate partnership impact and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Support issues and crisis communication efforts through timely, accurate, and compliant messaging.
- Liaise with leadership and relevant departments to prepare response materials and ensure unified company positioning.
- Maintain NCH’s professional reputation by monitoring and mitigating potential communication risks.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations, ideally within healthcare, wellness, FMCG, or other regulated industries.
- Proven track record in managing media relations, public campaigns, and corporate events.
- Demonstrated experience in content creation, copywriting, and editorial planning for both internal and external audiences.
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement, press office management, and compliance requirements in communications.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Arabic) preferred, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English..
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong command of media relations and communication planning tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with media monitoring, social media management, and analytics platforms.
- Working knowledge of digital communications, SEO principles, and online publishing best practices.
- Skilled in coordinating photography, videography, and creative content development for events and campaigns.
- Understanding of branding, corporate identity, and message alignment across platforms.
