MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the development of a compliance policy & procedures.
- Support in managing the relationship with the regulators in its day-to-day inquiries.
- Review regulatory requirements and advise business and back office operational units on regulatory requirements in coordination with line managers.
- Receive, document, and ensure implementation of new or updated regulatory requirements. By doing so, ensure:
- Disseminating new or updated regulatory requirements to relevant units.
- Assigning roles and responsibilities.
- Providing necessary advice on controls to be made.
- Reviewing relevant policies and procedures to advise relevant units on necessary changes.
- Receive feedback from relevant units and seek regulatory advice or guidance, when necessary.
- Conduct compliance testing and reviews in accordance with the approved annual Compliance Program.
- Track and ensure timely closures of issues raised by the regulator, internal audit, external auditors, and internal compliance reports.
- Liaise with various internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of periodic and ad-hoc reporting requirements while maintaining a register for the same.
- Receive customer complaints from CBB and report them to the CX teams for follow-up. Provide the line manager with the final inputs on the resolution of the complaints.
- Liaise with various internal stakeholders to ensure the proper conduct of regulatory meetings and inspections.
- Support in preparing required Compliance reports to be presented to the Board or Senior Management.
- Document all communications with the regulators in a proper manner and ensure their availability in a central repository.
- Support in any other Compliance related activity.
EDUCATION
- BA or Higher degree in finance, accounting, or any related subject.
- Compliance related qualifications preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a compliance function within the Financial / Banking / Cryptocurrency / Regulatory environment.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to manage projects, crises, and conflicts.
- Able to work independently and deal with multitasking in a very paced environment.
