The Legal Assistant will support the Legal and Compliance functions of the Hong Kong entity, assisting with regulatory documentation, licensing submissions, legal administration, and coordination with internal stakeholders. The role will work closely with the Compliance/AML MIC to ensure regulatory documentation, corporate records, and compliance materials are properly maintained and prepared.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and documentation support to the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Assist in preparing and organizing materials for regulatory submissions, including documentation related to VASP licensing applications and regulatory filings.
- Maintain legal and regulatory records, including policies, procedures, contracts, corporate documents, and regulatory correspondence.
- Support contract management processes including drafting simple agreements, organizing templates, and maintaining contract trackers.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect information required for legal reviews or regulatory submissions.
- Maintain trackers for regulatory filings, licenses, approvals, and reporting deadlines.
- Conduct basic legal or regulatory research when required.
- Support document execution processes and maintain organized filing systems for legal documentation.
- Assist the Legal and Compliance teams with administrative tasks and project coordination.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal operations support role in a law firm or financial services organization.
- Familiarity with legal documentation, contract administration, and corporate records management.
- Exposure to financial services, fintech, or regulatory environments is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage documentation and administrative tasks across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English; Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an advantage.
