Group Compliance Officer

Our client is a fast-growing international financial services and fintech group is seeking a Group Head of Compliance & Regulatory Strategy to lead and evolve its global compliance function.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s regulatory operating model across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will define group-wide compliance frameworks, oversee regulatory strategy, and coordinate compliance teams embedded within regulated entities as the business expands into new markets, products, and digital asset initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the Group’s global compliance and regulatory strategy in line with business growth and product expansion
• Lead and coordinate the global compliance function, working closely with compliance heads across multiple jurisdictions
• Establish and maintain group-wide compliance frameworks, policies, standards, and methodologies
• Provide strategic regulatory guidance to executive leadership and, where required, boards of regulated entities
• Oversee compliance programmes covering AML/CFT, sanctions, customer due diligence, market conduct, and regulatory reporting
• Monitor global regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for the business
• Support regulatory readiness for new markets, products, and licensing initiatives
• Partner with product, technology, and commercial teams to embed compliance into platforms and operational workflows
• Contribute to the design and implementation of compliance technology including transaction monitoring, trade surveillance, and KYC tools
• Represent the organisation in engagements with regulators, partners, and external stakeholders where required
Candidate Profile
• Senior compliance professional with experience in international financial services, fintech, payments, trading, or digital asset environments
• Proven experience leading compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions or regulated entities
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks, sanctions regimes, financial services regulation, and risk-based compliance approaches
• Experience working closely with technology, product, and operational teams within regulated environments
• Ability to operate at executive level and provide strategic regulatory guidance to senior stakeholders
• Professional certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent are highly desirable
